Our Win at the Hollywood Foundation Bambelela Business Awards!

We are absolutely thrilled to share some incredibly exciting news! Our founders, Rashaad Sambaba and Nicola Steyn, recently celebrated a monumental win at the prestigious Hollywood Foundation Bambelela Business Awards! We’re immensely proud to announce that we’ve been awarded a share of R1,000,000, a significant recognition that truly validates our business model and the positive impact we’re making in communities.

The judges were particularly impressed with our unwavering commitment to social responsibility, highlighting our flagship initiative that’s now in its second successful year: our Women in Agriculture Bursary program. This initiative is a cornerstone of our mission, empowering five deserving women each year with comprehensive education on cultivating their own vegetable gardens. It’s more than just teaching gardening; it’s about fostering self-sufficiency, promoting food security, and cultivating a brighter future for these women and their families.

This year, we’re particularly excited to enhance our offering by introducing the “Vegetable Biz in a Box.” This innovative addition provides recipients with a tangible head start, equipping them with essential seedlings to kickstart their entrepreneurial journey in vegetable farming. It’s about providing the tools and the knowledge to truly blossom.

At the heart of everything we do lies social responsibility. We firmly believe that a successful business is one that not only thrives financially but also uplifts and empowers the communities it serves. This award from the Hollywood Foundation is a powerful testament to our dedication to this principle. It fuels our passion to continue innovating and expanding our reach, ensuring that more women have the opportunity to grow their own success stories.

We are incredibly grateful to the Hollywood Foundation for this honor and to our beneficiaries for their dedication and trust. This win isn’t just for us; it’s for every woman who dreams of a more self-sufficient and prosperous future. We look forward to continuing our work, planting seeds of change, and watching them grow into vibrant, flourishing communities across South Africa.
